Hello everyone.

Am currently shooting in Pondicherry, and as you see I’m shooting nights.

The music of DB is out in stores now and I am so excited because I am really happy with the way the sound track has turned out. Please give me feedback, I’m very keen to know what you guys feel. But can I request you not to listen to it on pirated CDs or on websites who put up pirated versions.

Ram Sampat has done some truly inspired work, and so have the various lyric writers. Each track is a gem. After really long I think its an album you would want to own.

And can someone please tell me how Jamila is doing?

Aamir this does not sound like traditional hindi music. Is it
common to use rock music in hindi film industry?

I wish you would know of all the great things that have grown out
of your blog. The wonderful friendships that have formed and the
great experiences made. Things that would never have taken place

Hi Aamir

Great to hear that you are working very hard ;) Just heard the
music for Delhi Belly courtesy of the Swiss Rose (aka PKG) who
was downloading from iTunes whilst I was listening in the
background! Swiss efficiency at its best :) I think the Rock
track was funky. Courtesy of PKG, I've been keeping up to date
with DB. Good luck with the shooting and once you finish with
shooting in Pondicherry, ask PKG to show you around Lake Biel and
Giessbach - you will be in for a real treat. BTW, she makes a
fantastic tour guide.

Hi Aamir,

Just bought DB music on itunes. Am now listening to it on ipod
and love the mix of loungy, groovy, rock and more traditional
sounds.
Actually, I think you and Steve Jobs have quite a few
similarities;-)

Sleep well or enjoy riding a bike in sunrise Pudu as Karann
suggested!

Aamir, I was going through some of your responses and you
mentioned that Dhobi Ghat DVD was NOT released yet. Well I live
in the U.S. and I watched it on Netflix last night (it was
terrific!!). I'm confused now cuz I thought movies release on DVD
then Nelflix. Can you help clear this up? Thanks.

Thanks for clearing up the DG DVD mystery. Too bad this is
happening.

I just heard that Holland will have its first International
Indian Film Festival in The Haque from 6-12 October. Any chance
of seeing you or one of your movies there?

A great idea of Jana and Praveer to buy music DB on itunes, that
must be legal!!!!!
I thought about sending the music of DB to a music radio station
here in Holland. Theyll love it and then will play it, that is
the idea. Good one?

Hello Aamir!

I've just listened to the album on iTunes and bought. I am
excited about the songs. I have waited patiently for the CD in
Germany appears as the original CD I buy in any case too. In the
very successful mix of songs you can not sit still. The animated
dance to the music. A really great job. A big congratulations to
all involved and the performers of the soundtrack / album.

OK, you seriously need to read this rant, about slow
availability / non availability of DB cds. Incidentally--it's
written by a gentleman from my city--Chennai. Actually he

Cant wait to lay my hands on the DG DVD...hope Kiran has done the
director's commentary because thats what I'd really like to
watch/listen to...looking forward to her next one
btw did I tell you that my 13 year old loved DG...appreciation
comes from least expected quarters sometimes :)

and oh yes the merriam-webster states that the first known use of
the term Delhi Belly was in 1943(?) and in 2011 the world gets
to know its real meaning???...lol

Hi Ashu, DG DVD is at a work in progress stage. We are not happy with the visual quality of the master so we might go in for remastering! Sometimes I wonder whether its even worth it to work so hard on all this when more than half the people buy the pirated DVD in any case, or download it from some illegal site. But I guess those of you who care make it worth our while. And the fact is that some of us love our work so much that we do all this just for ourselves. And yes she has done a directors commentary.

Just bought Delhi Belly CD on itunes. Will give it a listen.

You say Dhobi Ghat has not released on DVD yet? But I watched it
on Netflix, and as far as I know they only air what's available
on DVD!!

Usually thats true, but this we went on to Netflix but work on DVD is still in progress. Not happy with the visual quality and going for remastering.

i also believe that we should not to listen to pirate dvds.but
what about country like mine who even dont release dvds even
after so long?? and also we dont have any release for hindi
movies. which is very SAD :-(( i usually order dvds from abroad
but thats too difficult. as a loyal fan would like to watch
originals ONLY

Nice to read u and hope you're having fun shooting in Pondi;-)
I have a dilemma, I ordered DG online through Dutch webshop,
where I got almost all your movies. For the first time I have the
feeling that the DVD is not legal. I asked about it and they
replied that there is not a European distributor who brought it
out, so it is a legal import version from India...But there is a
small picture on the back of the cover of u in Ghajini song,
that's strange, right? Help me out here. How do I know if this or
any DVD is legal?

Well, the Dhobi Ghat DVD has not been released yet. So any DG DVD you buy is pirated. The official DVD should be out in a month.

Lolz and rofl!!!!! Kept hearing the songs all day in car with
family......and my husband had been winking at me all the time I
wondered why.....finally I got it! The DK..Bose I mean ;-)
How did you manage to get it thru the censor board? Then I burst
out ''Oh no" and laughed aloud.....much to the puzzled amusement
on my kids' face! Looking forward to watching it. Is it safe to
watch it with teens and tweens?

Well, the film has abusive language and is rated 18 and above.

and films together. Will this risque DB be ok? I think it can't
be all THAT risque. What say?

I have read a lot in recent days about the music of Delhi Belly
and me the music video "Bhaag DK Bose" considered. It gave me
much I like think it's great mega. Above all times really rock
:-). The soundtrack is still there, unfortunately not in Germany.
Under which label for the soundtrack released and will it also
appear in Europe? Is there any way the original CDs to get from
India?

Well, if you live outside India you can buy it on iTunes. In India it is available on CDs.

For using the Pirated versions - can you please make it available

Watch out, it's contagious and it spreads through a chess
thrashing. I don't want your director and producer to lose money
because you got bedridden with multiple ailments and had to
cancel your shooting.

Have u heard Jane Kisne album of Shiamak Davar. Specially "Jane
kisne" and "Mohabbat karle".. These were the ones, since when I
am a fan of Ram Sampat's. Do hear it if you get them.
