Producer's Note, Delhi Belly.

Delhi Belly happened quite by accident... and thanks to Kiran.

Shit happens.

Akshat the writer had been trying to reach me with no success (don't ask me why since I am the easiest guy to reach). Finally, after giving up he dropped off a copy of the script at my house with my maid!!! Not a wise move as she is not the reading type. Well, somehow it managed to make its way to a heap of unread scripts lying in my study.

Shit happens.

One day I was busy with some email and Kiran, while waiting for me to finish, picked up the script lying on top of the pile of unread scripts. Couple of minutes later I heard her giggling, then laughing, then falling off the sofa choking with laughter and rolling on the ground. We were supposed to go out somewhere but she refused to stop reading. We stayed back home and ninety minutes later I was reading it. Three hours later I was calling the LA number written on the first page of the script and asking for Jim Furgele and Akshat Verma. Forty-eight hours later Akshat and Jim were sitting in front of me playing hard ball.

Shit happens.

Abhinay Deo, very ably leading a super cast and crew has delivered pretty much what Kiran and I were laughing our heads off about. I'd like to make a special mention of Ram who has in my opinion created kick ass music and contributed a hell of a lot to the film. With path breaking and inspired work he has created an album which I feel people will want to own. Akshat is a most welcome addition to our industry, and Jim... well, shit happens...

Aamir Khan Productions is known for its inspiring, clean, family entertainment. All that is about to change! Delhi Belly has the potential of, in a single stroke, destroying all the goodwill we have built in the last ten years.

Shit happens!

And if that happens, I will do to Abhinay, Akshat and Jim what Cowboy does to Vlidimir in our film while helping him clear his mind.

And that is when all the shit that has happened so far... will hit the fan!!!

"Throughout centuries there were men who took steps of courage
down the new roads armed with nothing but only their vision.
Every great new thought was opposed. The first motor was
considered foolish. The first airplane was considered impossible.
But the men of unborrowed vision went ahead. They fought, they
suffered & they paid the price. But they WON."

- Ayn Rand.

Congratulations Aamir for making Delhi Belly.

You have led. You lead. You will lead.

The music is superb and built on with the expectation. I was
hoping this would be a much better film with someone who is a
good actor in Tashi's role and direction could have been as good
as the music and lyrics. good luck with the next movie...always
your fan and shit happens sometime..

Congrats on the success of the 'DB'. Was a great watch and I, who
generally need sensible comedy to crack me up, was just in a
laugh riot during the entire film. Few shortcomings with the
connectivity of the script here and there, but it was compensated
through the material in key scenes.
Could imagine your heart in the mouth due to goodwill of AKP, not
as much the loss for a small budget. Bottom line- you're good in
all those aspects. happy for you

Hi Aamir
I'm a big fan of your's and i watched this movie :Delhi Belly"
only coz its from ur production. And after viewing this movie i
must say that the movie wasn't of a standard. There was no story
at all.
Use of abusive language, if story demands, one can tolerate
but there was hardly any story and offcourse abusive words were
just like fillers.
One friend of mine suggested me after viewing movie that it
will start a new trend or Bhedchaal, of these kind of movies,
which is not a good sign cause there are so many irresponsible
people who will use this film as a new trend.
