S Redemption.
Aug,31,2009

Just saw Shawshank Redemption. Had heard so much about this film. It seems to be on a lot of Ďmust seeí lists. Really enjoyed it and loved Robbinsí performance and the way his character was written.

Gosh there are so many films to see, and books to read. One life time is not enough. Books, I read, but films I never get down to seeing. Strange, since, I love cinema so much. Itís not as if I donít enjoying watching films, I really do, in fact when I watch a film I forget to blink and my eyes start hurting after a while. And I am an ideal audience, always ready to be manupilated, (listening Mira?). But for someone who is so steeped in films I have watched pathetically few films in all these years. Have I said all this before? Canít remember. Anyway, lot of catching up to do I guess.

So Kiran and I are away from home, in one very quiet spot, just lying in and resting. Reading, going for walks, watching films.

Vinod and Raju tell me that the post production on 3 Idiots is progressing well, so by the time I get back the cut will be ready. Which means I can confirm to all those of you who have been repeatedly asking... yes 3i will be releasing on Christmas this year. Iíll see the cut once I get back. Will keep yíall posted.

I agree. Shawshank Redemption is one of the best movies ever made
in my opinion. And i am sure there are a lot of people who would
agree with me, when i say that this is one of those rare movies
which has outdone its written version. this and the LOTR series
(Man! tat was ne boring book!). Inspirational! "Get busy livin..
or get busy Dyin.." Do u think there ever could be an Indian
version??

The Shawshank Redemption - great movie! I understand, I liked it
too. A man can absolutely everything, if he believe in our
strength, if he not give up.
Still, it's nice to see someone triumph!
You have discovered this masterpiece is only now, but he has such
a well-known? But this is not surprising - I've ONLY JUST saw the
films with your participation, but how old are they?..
Everything has his time. :-)

Hi Aamir. I hope your in the best of health Is'A.
I guess you posted this blog a little while back, but I couldn't
help but tell you about one film that is a must see- 'The Green
Mile'. An effortless performance by Tom hanks in this amazing and
griping film. The story is just so amazing. It is actually based
on true accounts to some extent. A must watch. Tissues at the
ready ^\^

All the best luck in the world for your up and coming ventures
Is'A.

Kind Regards

Farah

P.s do let me know what you think of The Green Mile

hi aamir, i am a newbie over here, heard a lot about your blogs
off late:) so just thought giving it a try, off course i am a big
fan of your works(not all) but the ones i loved are not because
of brand aamir khan but because they were really good stuff. i do
not know if you have watched this german movie 'the lives of the
others' but if you have not then you might like it, although i am
just 29 but i love world cinema and as a bengali i breath
satyajit ray movies. okie i guess that was quite a lot for the
first comment, keep doing the good work, all the best
