HAPPY DIWALI.
Nov,09,2007

A short note to wish all of you a very happy Diwali.

Have been going through your responses to the music. Its extremely encouraging to say the least. I''''ve got your immediate response and it is really heartening, but what I would really like is to hear your responses two weeks from now, after you have had a chance to hear the songs a few times over. Do they grow on you or do you start tiring of them?

I spent a couple hours last evening with Shammi Uncle the Elvis Presley of Indian Cinema (not as a singer but as a star). He is a close friend of my uncle Mr Nasir Husain who was himself one of the most sussessful directors of his time. I trained under Chachajaan as an assistant director for 4 years. His is not with us today but it would have been a very happy day for him. And I wanted Shammi Uncle to hear the music and wanted his blessings. Shammi Uncle is the coolest and I so enjoyed being with him. Very few people have the spirit of life that Shammi Uncle has and there is a lot to learn there. He showed me a picture that he keeps in his room of him and Chachajaan on the stes of one of the films they did together. I felt so happy and I wanted to share it with y''''all.

I''''m planning a sheduled chat soon and I''''ll keep you posted on that.

Take care, and have a great Diwali.

Much love.

(3) Unsurpassable:

The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed
the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and
finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No
other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

(2) Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in
circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it
was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was
added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken
away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years
ago.

7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran

By: Shabir Ali

(1) Intimate:

It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not
write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources
together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this
fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to
disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not
another one like the Quran.

Hi Aamir, this is my personal opinion, your movies & Rahman's
music were a great blend, not that Shankar,Ehsan,Loy have done a
bad job, just that the kind of sound that could have elevated TZP
would have been Rahman's

hi aamir!!! well i heard just one song of TZM. well to be honest
it is soothing to hear the first few lines, but as u said once we
hear the full song and the other songs only then can we give a
proper review of it. anyways the promos are sweet and the
children shown makes all the difference. I hope that the film
gets not only a great opening but stays in the audience's minds
in the next many weeks. good luck !!!! to u and all ur crew
members......i m sure that as in acting u will also definitely
leave a good mark as a director...we'll surely watch it.eagerly
waiting for its release.
