Hai hai yeh majboori...

One day I will be able to organise a chat that way I imagine. Hasnít happened yet, but weíll get there. The big challenge is to be able to take the volume of traffic. By the time we finished with the lobby and I tried to enter my chat room, I discovered to my horror that I COULDNíT. TOO MUCH TRAFIC I WAS TOLD. So the tech team had to quickly create a new chat room for me. Well, I can tell you that the 3i cast and crew had a super time, and we were very happy and blessed to have in our midst the parents of Shantanu and Swanand.

Iím sitting at my window sipping tea and watching the rain. Sigh... what a day. Wish Kiran was here with me... but she is working on her film in Panchgani. Feel like singing that song from Roti Kapda Aur Makan in which Zeenat Aman sings to Manoj Kumar. The situation is that it begins to rain and Manoj Kumar has to leave for work, to which Zeenat Aman sings : Hai hai yeh majboori, yeh mausam aur yeh doori, mujhe pal pal hai tadpaye, teri do takiya ki naukri mein mera lakhon ka sawan jaye. Losely translated it means - Oh no, what helplessness, this season and us apart(!), every moment I am tortured (by the fact, that), because of your 2 cent worth job we are losing this rain worth millions. Ashu?

Hey! Thats a super status for my fb page!!! Ha ha.

In 3i too we have this rain moment in the romantic song. In fact, apart from being a moment in the film for Pia and Rancho it is also pays a tribute to old Hindi films... and one Hollywood film... Titanic :-) . Which is actually a Hindi film shot in English. :-)

That song is going to be released tomorrow in fact. So catch it on the news, and youtube I suppose.

Back to my singing now.

Hai hai yeh majboori...

SCATTY Eles' porch seems a wonderful place to talk about books and compare notes on the Confederacy of Dunces. Maybe Katie will join us to explain the curse related to its filming... What say, Katie?

KATA Great to read you are doing well and to know you will be at Tanmoy Bose's again :-)

CHEKHOV I agree with you about Ghajini and the ending. That scene on the Panchgani bench kept me wondering if he indeed died and rejoined Kalpana (wishful thinking)... Oh and keep your name!

Dearest SUSI Take care. Love to read your Mumbai.

Coming up for air.

Quick replies and a smiling hello to our blog host.

KRISTELLIN SIDDHU PKG NASRIN Thanks for your comments here on the interview with Swanandji. Joanna helped me with the questions. It was lovely talking to him.

THANDADOST I think you once asked me about the film "Sita Sings the Blues". I really enjoyed it, specially the shadow puppets. Give it a try. I bet you won't regret it. About "Sixth Sense" it seems like he is a mindblowing chap! Otherwise, everything's cool, or in idiot lingo, Aal Izz Well!

CELESTE I see you are back in full force with the most useful Italian lessons ever! :-) Sei unica!

I am sorry if this offends you in any way as I truly belive that teacher is the most wonderful gift a student can get. I do not agree to your saying about Indian education system. How can you make a judgement by teaching in the US and not India. Are you among one those Indians to live and breath outside India but love to make nasty comments about ones own country. I myself being in the US feel that our Indian students surpa.s.s all the ABCD's here. Our education system is the best and helps us excel in the feilds of doctors, phd's,egineers I mean you name it and an Indian is there to slove the queries. yes we probably stress more on education than the other extra curriculum activites but then no country is perfect. I mean a kid in US does not know his ABC's until he is 4 or 5 but in India a 2 year old can even spell. So please get the fact's right before you post your comment. please a humble request.

There are some tings one knows, but is not constantely aware of them. And than, in some situations, one realize things.

I sat in a restaurant in Mumbai and, while eating, watching the life on the street through a window.
Watching some children play, watching some taxi drivers wating for the next pas-senger to earn some money, watching a very old woman, cleaning a little part of the street with something that looks like a very old broom.
While watching these and many more other people, just in a second I realized that some of these people will never be able to come from their side inside this restaurant.
Something, that is normal for me is impossible for others.

And that makes me realize one more thing:
sometimes between two worlds is just a window.

Love, Susi.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to come up for some air and say a quick hello!

It seems that the boss has gone missing again. Hmmmmm..... Where is Tabby when we need her to summon up her legion of global spies to search for him?

Sending lots of love and hugs to the AK blog family.
